Service Celebrating the Appointment of Rev. James Friday

On Sunday August 16, Grace UMC, Pickens, hosted the Installation Service for Rev. James Friday, the newly appointed Anderson District Superintendent.  He and Mrs. Debra Friday were enthusiastically welcomed by more than 150 people who attended the service.  United Methodist Churches from Pickens, Greenville and Anderson counties were represented.  Rev. Valerie Mireb is Sr. Pastor of Grace UMC, Pickens.

Rev. Friday’s message was "Launching Out into the Deep Waters for a Catch and Release”, followed by Holy Communion. The voices and music of the Grace Worship Choir, led by Rev. Franklin Gordon, were further enhanced by congregational singing of stirring hymns.

A reception followed the service.
