2026 Annual Conference
The 2026 meeting of the SC UMC Annual Conference has concluded in Greenville with 4 days of church business and worship. Attending from Grace UMC were Pastor Valerie and Lay Delegate Michael Johnson.
Pastor Valerie was reappointed to Grace UMC for 2026-2027, for her 6th year. Also, Pastor Valerie has entered retirement status – but her service and commitment to Grace remains stronger than ever for the next year!
In other changes, Rev. Steve Patterson, Jr. concludes 8 years as the Anderson District Superintendent. Steve and Debra will be moving to Hilton Head Island where Steve will serve as Senior Pastor at St.Andrew By-The-Sea UMC.
Rev. James Friday has been appointed as the new Anderson District Superintendent. He has most recently served as Director of Congregational Development and has previously served as District Superintendent as well as pastored churches in the Anderson and Greenville Districts.
